So, Technorati has been knocking about on the web for a while, but I've never really understood what exactly it does. So, I've duly signed up and will see just what the heck it is all about... I'll let you know... (although you probably already know, don't you, being the web-wise-guru that you are...)

Flickr badge

So, I've added a "Flickr badge" to my new omaoma blog. You can see it at the top of the list of postings. I have blatantly ripped off the lyout of the badge from Paul Watson, hope he doesn't mind! The only difference between his photos and mine are that his are heaps better.

I had tried using a Slide thingamebob, but there was no way of controlling the width of the thingamebob, and since it didn't fit in too nicely, I plumped for the Flickr badge. I also wasn't convinced about the fact that the Slide thingamebob was animated--maybe that would have made the design of this blog too cluttered. So there you go.

Rightio. First "new" thing. "Cool" thing.

Flock.

It's a "new" browser. Kinda. It's a bit of a re-written version of Firefox, but with extra bits and pieces specially for blogging, like. So, that prompted me to start up this new blog, and to start talking about new stuff.

So. Flock. Yeah, it seems pretty cool. I like the built in Flickr blog bits (I'll try them out later). It lets you see all your most recent photos right there, and then add them to your blog really easily.

Flock also hooks into your del.icio.us account. I'lll probably have to change how I use that, but I can give that a go.

Hey, hey, what's this?

So, here we go. I thought I'd start a new blog. I know, I know, I've already "got" a blog (over here), but you know, we haven't kept that up to date. We should try and put up more stuff there, hopefully we will.

But, I aslo wanted to keep track of other kinds of random bits and pieces--mainly techie stuff, and things I am trying out. So, that's what I'm going to write here. Hope I don't bore you!
